Jacqueline's Sewing and Design School.
My name is Jacqueline Blondeau. I am a France native.
I have been sewing for more than 20 years. I love to teach kids how to sew using the KCSFD pattern packets. The KCSFD program is a complete, well organized Curriculum in which a child is guaranteed that he/she will learn to sew and will actually be sewing from the first class. My "Kids Can Sew" classes are for kids 6 – 12 as well for teens and adults. These classes are based from the "You can make it" and the "Learn-to-sew" programs. Both of these are comprehensive, easy to follow, and self paced sewing programs.
Each student will receive, with their registration fee, a Student Pattern Packet. There are enough projects in each Student Packet to last the student ten to twelve months. Certificate of completion: When the first year Student Pattern Packet has been completed, the student has earned his/her certificate of completion. He or She will move into 2nd. Year's Student Packet. Then 3rd year Student Pattern Packet and so forth.
The first sewing class: Getting to know the sewing machine, threading and winding the bobbin. The stitching on fabric sample. Different stitches, how to back tack. How to pivot. How to stitch circles and squares.
At the second class: The student will begin making their own sewing bag. General information: Student attend a 1 hr. sewing class, once a week. Maximum of 4 students per class for one on one attention and instruction. I provide one sewing machine and equipment for each child to use during the class. Student should finish one project a month. Student is to provide his/her own sewing notions and fabric.
Registration and tuition policies: $95.00 per month per child.
